Day 184 - Telescope

My eldest loves space, loves it!

And she got a telescope for her birthday, we're just waiting for the new moon to open up a bit so we can actually look at it!!

Day 183 - Daddy daughter day

My youngest wanted a day with mummy, and my eldest wanted to watch a horror movie. So it was arranged, daddy daughter horror day!

Now finding something suitable was a challenge, but we got there in the end:

She absolutely loved it!

Day 182 - Family games!

Pie splat! The unexpected game of getting whipped cream smashed into your face!

Ace!

Day 181 - Sunshine

I was asked to hold my youngest's sunglasses.

Snazzy!

Day 180 - Middle of the week

So Wednesday is upon us, not a lot going on at the moment. Things are running smoothly, cases of COVID-19 are beginning to rise in the UK, so there are rumblings of changes but we need to wait until next week to see what happens there.

No pictures today (apologies) I just didn't get the chance to take any.

So I'll dig through my archives and add something random below to keep it looking pretty!

Aha! I have randomly selected these ace IPAs from ALDI's! Yum!

Day 179 - Tuesday already!

Lunchtime walk today, as I'm working from home. We walked along the local canal and basked in the glorious sunshine.

Day 178 - Walk to the Park

Monday, and we went for a walk to the park after school. I liked the way the sun sat low over the trees and took a snapshot.

Day 177 - Sunday Sunflower

We have some massive sunflowers in the garden, which have now expired, but, one of them has a couple of mini sunflowers growing out the side. I've never seen that before, kinda cool though.

Day 176 - Big walk

We decided to do one of our walks again, because there was so much to see, and we got last last time, so this time we can go the right way!

Then in the evening we went to Butser Farm for a Saxon storytelling evening with a nice glass of mead!

On the trail and heading into the farm!

Lots of lovely moos!

Mushroom!

A shot of the farm yard!

Close up shot of barbed wire.

A big mummy piggy!

There's a pond near the pigs which has all this lovely green algae on the top.

A long shot up the hill.

Another mushroom.

Wood pile!

This is, or was, a flat round workstation for fitting metal tires on to wooden wheels. Now a commemorative display in the village.

This had fallen off an Oak tree, we thought it was a disease on the leaf, but it turns out these are Gal Wasp eggs. Weird!

The next images are from the Saxon evening:

Here we have the Saxon's chatting and getting ready.

The stories begin!

We also had the tale of Beowulf (or a small section of it).

Here Beowulf attacks Grendel!

A shot of the roundhouse while we have an interval.

Slightly closer.

Next we had music and singing.

A group of musicians.

Then we finished on a big drum finale!

Which the drummer totally loved, he was well into it!

Day 175 - Friday already!

And I saw this plant, maybe an immature thistle? I'm not sure, kinda looks like a conker on a small plant. Either way, caught my eye.

Day 174 - Lunchtime dinner prep

So working from home as it's Thursday, everyone is at work or school, I made a vegetarian cottage pie for dinner! Not exactly as this recipe shows, as I added my own veg mix, but still great!

Day 173 - Blackberry

I love blackberries, either in a crumble, pie or on their own. Lovely little berries!

Day 172 - Quick lunchtime walk

Tuesday, working from home, so my wife and I went out for a lunchtime walk in the sunshine. I managed to catch this train speeding past.

Day 171 - Monday, sleeps

These two are loving the sleeps!

Day 170 - Sunday Insects

Some lovely insect macros:

Day 169 - Birthday, not mine.

It's my eldest's birthday! Socially distant celebrations ahoy, which also included a nice walk!

Day 168 - Sleepy cat!

Another lovely sleeping cat.

Day 167 - Eyes and a cat

More close ups while I practice, last of these hopefully, and Jack the cat having a good sleep!
